The primary oocyte with the tertiary follicle undergo first meiotic division and produces a large haploid secondary oocyte and a tiny first polar body. The second meiotic division occurs in secondary oocyte just before fertilization. The entry of sperm induces the completion of the second meiotic division of the secondary oocyte with the formation of a second polar body and a haploid ovum (ootid). Thus, if a woman is not exposed to sperms, the secondary oocyte will not undergo second meiotic division and consequently only one polar body will be produced. Thus, the correct answer is option B.
