How many square metres of glass will be required for a window which has 6 panes, each measuring 25cm×14cm.

Finding the area of 1 pane

Areaof1pane=length×breadthAreaof1pane=25×14=600cm2

Now, the area of 6 pane = 600×6=3600cm2

Converting it into m2.

We know 1m2=10000cm2

1cm2=110000m23600cm2=360010000=0.36m2

Hence, the total glass required for the window will be 0.36m2.
