  1. The diameter of the earth is 12,742 kilometers whereas the diameter of the sun is 1.3 million kilometers.
  2. It means 109 earth can be lined up across the face of the sun.
  3. Therefore sun's diameter is 109 times more than the earth's.

How many time is our sun (ii) bigger in diameter than the earth:

  1. The mass of the earth is 5.9×1024 kg and the mass of the sun is 1.9×1030 kg.
  2. Therefore the sun is 3,33,000 times heavier than the earth.
