How many times will a red blood corpuscle have to pass through the heart in its journey from the hepatic artery to the aorta?
Two times
An RBC in the hepatic artery will return to the right chamber of the heart after releasing its oxygen to the liver cells. It is then sent to the lungs for oxygenated. After oxygenation, it enters the heart the second time into the left chamber. From here, through the aorta, it can be transported to the hepatic artery.
