Question

How much fast is car moving than bike, if the car covered 200 km in 4 hours and bike covered same distance in 5 hours?

Open in App
Solution

Total distance covered = 200 km
Time taken by car = 4 hour
Time taken by bike = 5 hour
Distance covered in 1 hour by car × time taken by car
= Total Distance covered
Distance covered in 1 hour by car
= Total Distance covered ÷ time taken by car
= 200 ÷ 4 = 50 km
Similarly,
Distance covered in 1 hour by bike
= Total Distance covered ÷ time taken by bike
= 200 ÷ 5 = 40 km
Distance covered by car in an hour is 10 km more than bike.
So, car is travelling 10 km in an hour faster than bike
