Dear Student,
Scientifically, both plants and animals have DNA, RNA and other genetic materials. Both have cells, which need specific nutrients, macromolecules, pH levels, salinity levels, energy, temperature levels, among other things to grow and function. Structurally, both are very similar because they are both eukaryotic cells. They both contain membrane-bound organelles such as the Nucleus, Mitochondria, Endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, lysosomes, and peroxisome. The structures which are exclusive to plant cells include chloroplasts, the cell wall, and vacuoles.
