How the separated DNA fragments are finally isolated ?

Open in App
Solution

The separated DNA fragments are isolated by the process of elution. The separated DNA fragments are stained with a compound called ethidium bromide followed by exposure to UV radiation. The DNA fragments appear as bright orange colored bands. The separated bands of DNA are cut from the agarose gel and extracted from the gel piece. This process is called as elution.
