Open in App
Solution

Balancing of a chemical reaction is necessary for the determination of amount of compound formed in a reaction. It is balanced in following ways:

Balance the element on the basis of priority

Metal > Non-Metal > Oxygen > Hydrogen

Pb(NO3)2 PbO +2NO2 + O2

Step-1 Check Number of Lead on L.H.S and R.H.S.

Pb(NO3)2 PbO +2NO2 + O2

Step-2 Check Number of Nitrogen on L.H.S and R.H.S.

Pb(NO3)2 PbO +2NO2 + O2

Step-3 Check the number of oxygen atom on L.H.S and R.H.S.

2Pb(NO3)2 2PbO +4NO2 + O2

Equation Balanced.
