• An ore of tin-containing ${\mathrm{FeCrO}}_4$ is concentrated by magnetic separation.
• ${\mathrm{FeCrO}}_4$ is ferromagnetic material due to presence of iron.
• Magnetic separation attracts ${\mathrm{FeCrO}}_4$ through their magnets and separate them from ore of tin .

Iron ores are attracted towards the magnet, hence, non-magnetic impurities can be separated from them using magnetic separation.
