How to find the direction of the induced current?
Induced current:
The variation in the magnetic field or flux associated with the conductor produces a current. Due to this, the electromotive force is produced. This phenomenon is known as induced current.
The direction of the induced current:
From Lenz's law, there are two ways to determine the induced current direction:
(1) The induced current produces the magnetic field, which will oppose the magnetic flux variation, and hence it induces the current. So, the direction of the induced current can be obtained.
(2) Consider the case of induced current in the loop. The area vector's positive direction is selected, and then the positive emf direction can be determined in the loop. With the help of Faraday's law, the induced emf will be evaluated. The two signs (positive and negative) of the evaluated induced emf will describe the induced current.
