Hydrogen bonding does not play any role in the bonding point of HI.Because of the extensive network of hydrogen bonds between molecules, HF has a higher boiling point than similar molecules (HCl,HBr,HI) containing elements of the same group of the Periodic Table, but heavier and less electronegative. For such reason, HF is liquid, whereas HCl,HBr and HI are gaseous at temperatures close to room temperature. Hydrogen bonding does not play any role in the bonding point of HI
