I am a weed.

Weeds are undesirable plants which grow in an agricultural area. They compete with the crop for water and soil nutrients. Some weeds produce toxic substances which damage neighboring crops. They also provide shelter for insects that may decrease crop yield. Hence the farmer plucks the weed.
