Lymph is similar to the plasma of blood but colourless and contains less protein. Lymph has a large number of white blood cells circulating in it. Lymph along with lymph nodes fight with the infections first. Lymph also carries digested and absorbed fats from the intestine since fats are insoluble in the aqueous medium of blood.
