I have 14 apples with me, of which 27th of them were spoilt. From the remaining good ones, I sold a few of them and was left with 15th of the fresh apples. Half of the remaining apples were eaten up by my wife.

Find the total number of apples which are left with me.

The correct option is A 1
Total number of apples = 14
No. of apples that were spoilt = 14×27 = 4 apples.
Now, no. of apples left = 10 apples
No. of apples left, after selling some in the market = 10×15 = 2 apples.
Half of the 2 apples is eaten by his wife.
So, the number of apples left = 2×12 = 1 apple
Therefore, he is left with one apple.
