The correct option is A 1

Total number of apples = 14
No. of apples that were spoilt = $14\times \frac{2}{7}$ = 4 apples.
Now, no. of apples left = 10 apples
No. of apples left, after selling some in the market = $10\times \frac{1}{5}$ = 2 apples.
Half of the 2 apples is eaten by his wife.
So, the number of apples left = $2\times \frac{1}{2}$ = 1 apple
Therefore, he is left with one apple.
