I have 14 apples with me, out of which 27 of them were spoilt. From the remaining good ones, I sold a few of them and was left with 15 of the fresh apples. I gave half of the remaining apples to my friend. Find the total number of apples which are left with me.

The correct option is A

1


Total number of apples = 14

Number of apples that were spoilt = 14×27=4 apples.
Now, no. of apples left = 10 apples

Number of apples left, after selling
some = 10×15=2 apples.

Half of the 2 apples I gave to my friend, hence half of them left.

The number of apples left = 2×12=1 apple.

Therefore, only 1 apple is left with me now.
