Question

I have 21 mangoes with me, of which 23 of them are spoilt. From the remaining good ones, I sold a few of them and was left with 15 of fresh mangoes. I gave one third of the remaining mangoes to my friend. Find the total number of mangoes which are left with me.

The correct option is B 112
Total number of mangoes = 21
Number of mangoes that were spoilt = 21×27=6 mangoes.
Number of mangoes left = 21 - 6 = 15
Number of mangoes left, after selling = 15×15=3 mangoes.
One third of the 3 mangoes I gave to my friend.
The number of mangoes left = 3×23=2
Only 2 mangoes are left with me now.
