When the two isomers are treated with slightly acidic $Ba{Cl}_2$ solution $\left[Co{\left({NH}_3\right)}_{5}Br\right]{SO}_4$ produces white ppt. $\left(Ba{SO}_4\right)$ but $\left[Co{\left({NH}_3\right)}_5{SO}_4\right]Br$ does not.
