Typhoid : Salmonella typhi bacteria causes typhoid in human beings. It spreads through contaminated food and water (faecal-oral route).

Plague : It is a class of dangerous, life-threatening and infectious disease mainly caused by the bacterium Yersinia pestis. The bacterium is mainly found in rodents (rats). The insects that feed on the blood of rodents transmit the disease.

Ringworm : It is a very common skin infection caused by fungi like Microsporum, Trichophyton and Epidermophyton. Ringworm can be transmitted by the following ways:
  • By skin contact with an infected person.
  • From pets and cows.
  • Sharing of clothes, comb, towels and brushes.
  • Contact with soil contaminated with spores.
