Solution

Solution:-
CH2=CH2EtheneRaney Ni/Δ−−−−−−CH3CH3EthaneBr2/AlBr3/Δ−−−−−−−HBrCH3CH2BrEthyl bromideNa/dry ether/Δ−−−−−−−−−NaBrCH3CH2CH2CH3n-Butane
Compound C reacts with Na/dry ether to give n-butane. This reaction is Wurtz synthesis reaction.
Thus compound C must be ethyl haliSinceInce the compound B undergoes bromination to form compound C, thus compound C must be ethyl bromide.
Now compound B give ethyl bromide on bromination thus it must be ethane.
Now compound A reacts with Raney Ni i.e. it undergoes hydrogenation reaction to form ethane. Thus compound A must be ethene.
Hence the compounds A,B and C are ethene, ethane and ethyl bromide respectively.
