The division is a taxonomic rank in biological classification that is used differently in zoology and in botany.

  • Ulothrix is a genus of filamentous green algae, generally found in fresh and marine water. They thrive the cold temperature of the spring and winter seasons. They are Eukaryotic and unicellular. They reproduce vegetatively.
  • These plants are small and those, that is not differentiated into root, stem, and leaf. The thallus is dorsiventrally differentiated. Its upper (dorsal) surface is green and chlorophyll-bearing, with a mid-dorsal longitudinal sulcus (furrow or groove). The sporophyte of Riccia is the simplest amongst bryophytes.
  • Marsilea is a genus of approximately 65 species of aquatic ferns of the family Marsileaceae. These small plants are of unusual appearance and do not resemble common ferns.
  • Cycas is the type genus and the only genus recognized in the family Cycadaceae.
  • Wheat is a grass widely cultivated for its seed, a cereal grain which is a worldwide staple food.
  • Gram is angiosperm and dicotyledon. Rich in proteins and widely used in north India.
