  1. The mineral acid that forms a white precipitate with barium chloride is sulphuric acid (H2SO4).
  2. When barium chloride is a salt that reacts with a dilute mineral acid, sulphuric acid, barium replaces the hydrogen and forms barium sulfate which can be observed as a white precipitate after completion of the reaction.
