The correct option is C A - islets of langerhans, B - delta cells, C - alpha cells, D - beta cells
The pancreas is an organ located in the abdomen. The pancreas has two main functions: an exocrine function that helps in digestion and an endocrine function that regulates blood sugar levels. The endocrine component of the pancreas consists of islet cells (islets of Langerhans) that create and release important hormones directly into the bloodstream. The islets of Langerhans have three types of cells which secrete different hormones. The alpha cells (C) secrete the hormone glucagon. Beta cells (D) produce insulin and are the most abundant of the islet cells. Delta cells (B) secrete the hormone somatostatin, which is also produced by a number of other endocrine cells in the body.
