Aorta is the main artery which carries oxygenated blood from the left ventricle to the whole body. Vena cava is the main vein which pours deoxygenated blood from the whole body to the heart. Pulmonary artery carries deoxygenated blood from the heart to the lungs and pulmonary vein carries oxygenated blood from lungs to the heart.
