If 1gram of sulphur dioxide contains x molecules, what will be the number of molecules in 1gram of methane?

Open in App
Solution

1 mole of SO2=64g
1g of SO2 = -----mole?
=164mole
From the given data 164 moles sulphur dioxide contain x molecules
We know that equal moles of all gases will have equal number of molecules.
Hence 164 moles of Methane Contains x molecules of methane
Now we should find out the number of moles in 1g of methane
1 mole of methane = 16g
1g of methane = ------Mole?
=116mole
Since,
164 mole of methane = x molecules
116 mole of methane contains = -------molecules?
=x×6416=4x molecules
