The correct option is C 11.2 litre
The reaction involved is,
H2+Cl22HCl
means 1 mole or 1 litre of H2 needs 1 mole or 1 litre of Cl2 to react completely and will form 2lit of HCl.
Since we have H2 = 6 litre and Cl2 = 5.6 litre, so their is Cl2 present in insufficient amount.
Hence, limiting reagent is Cl2.
So, the reaction will involved reaction between 5.6 litre of Cl2 with 5.6 litre of H2 and 0.4 litre of H2 will remain unreacted.
Hence, 5.6 litre of Cl2 will produce,
5.6×2 = 11.2 litre of HCl.
Hence the answer is option C.
