Given : a: b= 4:9 $\Rightarrow$ $\frac{a}{b}=\frac{4}{9}$ ......(i)
b : c = 3: 2 $\Rightarrow$ $\frac{b}{c}=\frac{3}{2}$ ......(ii)
Multiplying equation(i) and eqiation(ii), we get
$\Rightarrow \frac{a}{b}\times \frac{b}{c}=\frac{4}{9}\times \frac{3}{2}$
$\Rightarrow \frac{a}{c}=\frac{2}{3}$
$\therefore a:c=2:3$
