If a box of sweets is divided among 24 children, they will get5 sweets each. How many would each get, if the number of the children is reduced by 4?

Find the number of sweets each child will get

Sweets distributed among each child = 5

Total number of children = 24

Total sweets = 24×5=120

If the number of children is reduced by 4, the total number of children = 24-4=20

Let the new number of sweets be x

x×20=24×5x=24×520x=6

Hence, the number of sweets each child will get is 6.
