Total mass of CHCl3 is =12.011+1.008+(3×35.453)=118.376.
Now, the remaining mass of chloroform is 1000522.5=477.5.
Hence moles of chloroform left is =477.5118.376=4.03 moles.
1 mole of chloroform contains 3 moles of chlorine.
Hence, 4.03 moles of chloroform will contain 4.03×3=12.09 moles.
