Solution

The correct option is C Heterozygous normal
Albinism is an autosomal recessive disorder which means that only homozygous recessive genotype will show the disorder. The heterozygous genotype will be normal but will serve as carrier since the recessive gene is masked by presence of normal dominant gene. If the mother would be homozygous normal, all of their children would be heterzygous normal but since half albino, half normal children are born; the affected one must have received the recessive allele from both the parents. Hence, mother is heterozygous (Aa). Correct answer is B.
Parent generation : Aa (carrier mother) X aa (albino father)
Gametes :
Aa ---->
aa
Aa
aAa
(normal carrier child)
aa
(albino child)
aAa
(normal carrier child)
