The correct option is A 288 cm2
Given:
AB= BC,
area of Δ BEC = 72 cm2
AC = 12 cm
∴ AC = 2AB ⇒AB = 6 cm area of Δ BEC=12×base×height ⇒72=12×BC×height ⇒72=12×6×height ⇒height=24cm
Hence, Area of parallelogram=base×height=AC×height=12×24=288cm2
