Total amount = ₹100
Ratio of A's share to B's share = 2 : 3

Total number of parts = 2 + 3 = 5 (0.5 marks)

$\Rightarrow$ Value of 1 part $= \frac{100}{5} = ₹ 20$ (0.5 marks)

We know that A will have two parts out of five.

$\Rightarrow$ A's share $= 2 \times 20 = ₹ 40$ (1 marks)
