If area of a triangle is (4x2+8x+42)sq.units. Find its base and height

Open in App
Solution

Given area of triangle = 12[4x2+8x+4]
We know area of triangle = 12(base×height)
12(base×height)=12[4x2+8x+4]
base×height=4x2+4x+4x+4
base×height =4x(x+1)+4(x+1)
base×height=(4x+4)(x+1)
on comparing we get base = 4x+4
and height = x+1
