Question

if distance between two body is increased how does the gravitational force change

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student,
The strength of the gravitational force between two objects depends on two factors, mass and distance.
As F= GM1M2/r2
F α 1/r2
Since gravitational force is inversely proportional to the square of the separation distance between the two interacting objects, more separation distance will result in weaker gravitational forces.
