Let the length of the original rectangle =l cm and breadth =b cm.
Perimeter of the original rectangle =2(l+b)
Since, the dimensions of the rectangle are doubled, length of the resulting rectangle =2l cm and breadth =2b cm.
Perimeter of the resulting rectangle =2(2l+2b)=2×2(l+b)
Ratio of the perimeters of the original rectangle and the resulting rectangle =2(l+b):2×2(l+b)=1:2
