Solution

The correct option is C f(x)=12(1+x1x11x)
f(x)+f(11x)=x ... (i) given

Replace 'x' by (11x);

f(11x)+f⎜ ⎜ ⎜1111x⎟ ⎟ ⎟=11x

i.e., f(11x)+f(11x)=11x ...(ii)

In eqn (i); replace 'x' by (11x); we get

f(11x)+f⎜ ⎜ ⎜ ⎜11(11x)⎟ ⎟ ⎟ ⎟=11x

i.e., f(11x)+f(x)=11x ...(iii)
Now, we have these equations; and three unknowns (f(x);f(11x);f(11x))
Solving these simultaneously, to get f(x); we get
f(x)=12(1+x1x11x)
