If heterozygous parents are crossed, which of the following trait/s will have more frequency in the F1 generation?
dominant character
The trait that will appear in F1 generation depends on the genotype of the parents being crossed. If heterozygous parents are being crossed, there is a possibility of having both, dominant and recessive, traits appearing in F1 generation. Each heterozygous parent will produce two types of gametes, one with dominant and one with a recessive allele. When these gametes fuse, they give rise to all three combinations. But dominant allele will have more frequency i.e. 3/4 of the offsprings will show the dominant character.
