Let the age of Sunita = `x' yrs

Then, age of John = `(x + 4)' yrs

From Statement I, 5(x - 9) = (x + 4) - 9

5x - 45 = x + 4 - 9

5x - x = - 5 + 45

4x = 40

x=404

Age of John = (x + 4) = 10 + 4 = 14 yrs

So, Statement I alone is sufficient to answer the question, while Statement II alone is not sufficient.
