The correct option is A 4
Let the length of the square be $l$
Area of the square = Length x Length
= $l \times l$
= $l^{2}$ ...........(1)

Now, new length is $2 l$ .
$∴$ New area of the square = $2 l \times 2 l$
= $4 l^{2}$ .........(2)

From (1) and (2), we get
area of the square increases 4 times.
