Given, α=2+√3...(i)
As we know,
Sum of the roots, α+β=−ba=−−41=4...(ii)
Comparing x2−4x+1 with general form ax2+bx+c we get,
a=1,b=−4,c=1
From equation (i) and (ii),
2+√3+β=4⇒β=2−√3
Hence, another roots of the given equation is 2−√3
If one zero of the polynomial x2−4x+1 is (2+√3) , write the other zero.
If one zero of the polynomial 3x²=8x+2k+1 is seven times the other then find the other zero and the value of k
