The correct option is B 46 sq units
¯¯¯a+¯¯b=2i+4j+6k
¯¯b+¯¯c=8i+12j+16k
¯¯b+¯¯c=4(2i+3j+4k)
Area of parallelogram=12pqsinθ
where p,q are lenghts of diagonals and θ is the angle between them.
Hence in this case,
Area=12(¯¯¯a+¯¯b)×(¯¯b+¯¯c)
=122(i+2j+3k)×4(2i+3j+4k)
=82[(i+2j+3k)×(2i+3j+4k)]
=4∣ ∣ ∣ijk123234∣ ∣ ∣
=4[i(89)j(46)+k(34)]
=4i+2jk
=41+4+1
=46sq.units
