Solution

Adding manure to compacted soil helps loosen the soil. It enhances water-holding capacity of soil, promotes aeration and drainage, decreases soil loss by erosion, conserves moisture and prevents nutrient leaching and granulation, which help the plant growth. Crop rotation improves the physical and chemical conditions of soil and thus improves the overall fertility.
