The correct option is B is quadrupled
$F \propto \frac{1}{r^{2}}$

$R_{1} = R$
Since , distance is reduced to $50 % ⟹ R_{2} = \frac{R}{2}$

$\frac{F_{2}}{F_{1}} = {(\frac{R_{1}}{R_{2}})}^{2} = 4$

$⟹ F_{2} = 4 F_{1}$

Hence force is quadrupled.
