(a) According to Hund's rule, electron pairing in an orbital cannot occur until each orbital of a given subshell contains one electron each or is singly occupied.

(b) The Pauli Exclusion Principle states that, in an atom or molecule, no two electrons can have the same set of four quantum numbers. As an orbital can contain a maximum of only two electrons, the two electrons must have opposite spins and doesn't violate pauli's exclusion principle.

Hence, it violates Hund's rule only.
