Solution

The given equation is $p + 3 = 1$ and the value of variable is $p = 0$
Now, putting value of $p$ in LHS of the equation we get,
$\begin{array}{rcl} p + 3 & = & 0 + 3 \\ = & 3 \neq R H S \end{array}$
Hence, $p = 0$ does not satisfy the equation $p + 3 = 1$ .
