As it is given the equation is $p + 3 = 1$ and the value of variable is $p = - 2$
Now, Putting the value $p = - 2$ in equation we get,
$- 2 + 3 = 3 - 2 = 1$ which is equal to RHS
Hence, the equation is $p + 3 = 1$ at $p = - 2$ Get Satisfied.
