Question

If the gravitational force acts on all objects in proportion to their masses, why a heavy object does not fall faster than light object?

Solution

The acceleration they experience is independent of their mass.

Therefore, all objects fall on the ground with the same acceleration known as acceleration due to gravity.

a=g for Earth =9.8ms2

Thus, a heavier object does not fall faster than a lighter object.
