We have,
$11 = \frac{x + (x + 2) + (x + 4) + (x + 6) + (x + 8)}{5} 11 = \frac{5 x + 20}{5} 35 = 5 x x = 7$
Now, the first three observations are 7, 9 and 11
Their mean would be
$\frac{7 + 9 + 11}{3} \frac{27}{3} = 9$
