Mean of x, x + 2, x + 4, x + 6 and x + 8 is 13.

The value of x can be calculated as below.

Mean = Sum of numbersTotal numbers
13 = x+(x+2)+(x+4)+(x+6)+(x+8)5

On further calculation, we get:

13 × 5 = 5x + 20
65 = 5x + 20
5x = 65 – 20
5x = 45
x = 9

Hence, the value of x is 9.
