$∵$ Point (2, -2) lies on the graph of the linear equation 5x + ky = 4

$∴$ It will satify it

$∴$ Now substituting the values of x and y

$5 \times 2 + k (- 2) = 4 \Rightarrow 10 - 2 k = 4 \Rightarrow - 2 k = 4 - 10 = - 6 \Rightarrow k = \frac{- 6}{- 2} = 3 H e n c e k = 3$
