So, the coordinates must satisfy the equation of the line.

$\Rightarrow 2 a - 3 (5) - 5 = 0$

$\Rightarrow 2 a - 15 - 5 = 0$

$\Rightarrow 2 a = 20$

$\Rightarrow a = 10$
Hence, the value of $a$ is $10$ .
